At the beginning of the seventh century, battles between powerful families intensify. When the Soga family defeats the Monobe family, their power equals the Imperial Family's. In order to prevent the supremacy of the Soga clan, Nakanoue no Ôji(Emperor Tenji, 661-671) and Nakatomi no Kamatari attack Soga no Iruka, the head of the Soga Clan. This dance tells the story of the eve of the Taika Reform (645-794).
