The last of Japan's seven generations of gods, Izanagi-no-kami and Izanami-no-kami, stand on the Heavenly Floating Bridge, lower the Heavenly Jeweled Spear into the sea and stir. The brine that drips down forms the islands of Japan (Yamato). The gods are very happy, but the Great Evil Dragon, lord of the sea, springs up out of the ocean and tries to prevent the gods from creating the islands. He challenges them to a battle, but the gods win and the islands of Japan are completed.
